Dr. Shephard Is Accepting New Patients

If you’re starting the new year off by looking for a chiropractor, your search ends here! Dr. Shephard in Portland, OR is accepting new patients for 2023, and he and his staff will be happy to help you with all your chiropractic needs—whether pain management, realignment, or wellness goal achievement (or all of the above).

Why Shephard Chiropractic Clinic is a Great Choice

SAFE AND THOROUGH CARE

The chiropractic care at Shephard is safe, thorough, and effective. We are careful to analyze your condition, and we are focused on your whole body (not just your spine, and not just the problem area/areas). It’s important to us that you feel great, and that your treatment plan works with your schedule. Our experience and our solutions come together to make you feel comfortable and cared for.

GENTLE ADJUSTMENTS

After 30 years in chiropractic, we’ve refined our craft and we make sure every one of our patients feels heard by our trusted providers. Our clinic is a little different than many other chiropractic clinics—and that’s a good thing. We use the Arthrostim method to make adjustments instead of manually manipulating your body. Using the Arthrostim tool, we’re able to provide instrument-based adjusting with a handheld, controlled force that effectively puts out 12-14 thrusts per second to a particular area. Studies have shown a healing response occurs in three areas: the muscle, the ligament, and the bone tissue. These gentle movements are great for those who need care after an acute auto or work injury, and for the elderly. But we like to use the Arthrostim tool on every one of our patients, because it’s that safe and effective.

CUSTOM TREATMENT PLANS

We know that each of our patients is completely unique—and we create a custom treatment plan for you based on your immediate needs, so you can get back to the life you want to live—with less pain and discomfort. We’ll pay attention to your progress as well, so that we can adjust your treatment plan as needed.

Our Additional Services

MASSAGE THERAPY

Shephard Clinic of the Chiropractic Arts also offers additional services that are helpful for our patients’ recovery and improvement. Massage therapy is offered in the office, and can help with muscle tension release and help support nervous system function.

COLD LASER

Helping and healing is on the way. This additional in-office service uses a cold laser to improve nerve function and decrease inflammation. Low levels of light help stimulate healing through increased blood flow, especially deep within your body in areas otherwise difficult to get to.

Easy Payment Options

Our flexible payment options include cash, credit card, health insurance, worker’s compensation insurance, and auto insurance. When you come for your first visit, you’ll need to tell us which way you’ll pay. If you’re coming in for a work injury, you’ll use worker’s compensation insurance. Likewise, if you’re coming in to address an auto accident injury, you’ll need to use your auto insurance. We know the paperwork for those kinds of treatments can be tricky, and we’ll do our best to guide you through.
